Did you know that you can use a prepaid credit card on PayPal?
PayPal is one of the world’s leading online banking systems. Anyone with a PayPal account knows about the advantages that individuals, organizations, and businesses use through this worldwide service every day. Signing up for a PayPal account is easy, and the uses of a PayPal account are endless.
As most online banking systems require you to have a credit card or a current account with a different bank as a backup for transaction funding; you may have run into problems using PayPal if you do not have access to credit.
Did you know that you can use a prepaid credit card on PayPal? More people rely on prepaid credit cards on PayPal now. It is no surprise that many people have lost their credit cards, and have poor credit histories resulting from personal financial problems stemming from the most recent global economic downturn.
If you have a pre-paid credit card with the logo of any major credit card company such as MasterCard or Visa, your pre-paid card will work on PayPal. The logic behind the ability to use pre-paid credit cards is similar to the ability to use a debit card that your bank issues to you.
Here is how to make your pre-paid credit card work on PayPal. If you follow the instructions below, you will be able to use your PayPal account to make online purchases, pay bills, and much more. You will also be able to make your transactions with a higher level of online security, because you will not be using your bank account number, or a credit card number.
1. The first step is to log on to your existing PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account yet, you should take a few minutes and open up an account. Once your account is set up to use, PayPal will send you two very small deposits to your linked checking or savings account with your regular banking institution. Once you verify the small deposits in your bank account, your PayPal account will activate.
2. Once you sign in to your PayPal account, select the tab that says “My Account,” and find the options under the My Account tab called “Profile.” As soon as you reach the Profile page, find the button that reads “Add or Edit Credit Card,” and use your mouse arrow to click it. Your browser should redirect to the Credit and Debit Cards page.
3. Once you are on the Credit and Debit Cards Page, carefully key in your pre-paid credit card information. Once done, find the “Add a Card” tab located near the lower end of the Credit and Debit Cards page. Point your mouse arrow over the “Add a Card” tab and click.
That should do it. If you entered all of your information correctly, and if the name and your home mailing address match the name and address on the registered pre-paid credit card, you can now make purchases and payments online through PayPal.
